Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 1 July 2026. In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2010 of Malaysia.

Canopus Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. ("Canopus", "we", "us", or "our") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, process, use, disclose, and protect your personal data in connection with our AI software platforms (Cortex, Nexus, Prism) and professional services in Malaysia and across the ASEAN region.

By using our services or accessing our platforms, you consent to the processing of your personal data as described in this policy, in accordance with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

2. Data Collection

We collect personal data that is reasonably necessary for our operations. This may include:

  • Identity Data: Full name, company name, corporate title, email address, phone number, and physical address.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, and platform usage analytics.
  • Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our AI dashboards, API sandboxes, and queries processed via our Prism engine.

3. Purpose of Processing

Under the PDPA, we process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To provision and maintain our enterprise AI platforms.
  • To handle customer service inquiries, consults, and schedule product demonstrations.
  • To comply with regulatory obligations defined by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and other regional regulatory bodies.
  • To improve system models, monitor API workloads, and enhance platform security infrastructure.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

  • Authorized corporate affiliates and subsidiaries.
  • Third-party cloud infrastructure providers (such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure) hosting our secure services.
  • Legal or regulatory authorities when required to comply with law enforcement or statutory requirements.

5. Your Rights Under PDPA

You have the right to request access to and correction of your personal data held by us. Specifically, you may:

  • Check whether we hold or process your personal data.
  • Request access to your personal data or request corrections of inaccurate or outdated information.
  • Withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal data (subject to contractual or legal limitations).

6. Security and Retention

We enforce strict technical and organizational security measures, including end-to-end encryption and multi-factor authentication, to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure of personal data.
